I went to bible study at Moore-Strong tonight thats my boys and I will love them forever. Anyway Asia talked about having a daily quiet time. We started out with Luke 10: 38-42. The story of Mary and Martha. Jesus went to see them. Mary stayed at Jesus's  feet, while Mary did her own thing. Sometimes we are the Martha in this story. When Jesus is right there we ignore him because we are always on the move. As a college student I know how it is to be always on the move. Its hard to meet with God when yur always onn the move. We were challengedh  tonight to make a time where we can meet with God. Im gettin up early to meet with God. Like wat was stated tonight Christ went to the Father and He was God himself. So we def. need to go to him.  With the right motevs that is. The mediatation room is where Im going :)

loggin off bye!

Love equals sacrafice

I serve a God who is mighty to save. This past weekend has been one that I will remember forever. Thus past weekend was the triad metro crusade fall retreat. The groups there were UNCG,HPU,Guilford Tech,Wake Forest, and Greensboro College. It was Greta to meet other people that are apart from our cru here at uncg. I would not trade anything for this past weekend. One thing that spoke to me this past weekend was the time I had with the Lord during my quiet time. I was reading out of the book of Deuteronomy. In the 8th chapter, it talks about the isralities and how God never left or forsake them. God was always there,He wanted them to show humility and focus on him. Verse 3 of that chapter hit me. My God is a God that provides. Everything that I have belongs to Him. If it wasn't for his sacrifice on the cross my soul would be in the pits of Hell and live there for all eternity. When my God hung on that cross he died for mankind so that we may holy and blameless in His sight. He has overcome the world and we can too with his help. God makes sure that i have the food to eat and the clothes on my back are his. I am nothing without his grace. Then God lead me to psalm 16. It talks about having the confidence in Christ that we need. Like the first meeting of cru we discussed that same topic. Protect me O God, for I take refuge in you. You hold my future. I keep you in mind always because you are at my right hand. I will not be shaken.you reveal the path of life to me. O God you are worthy of it all!

The speaker Tom talked about prayer. He said that the psalms could be used as an example to praise him. He also talked abbot the model prayer which is found in Matthew 6. That's an easy way to start praying. Last night he spoke of the kingdom of Heaven. He stressed that the kingdom is going on now but also later. See we as Christians are a called out to take the message of Christ to foreign places not even there in our on backyard. We are called to be different in all aspects of our lives. Yesterday morning we discussed being honest with our maker that's something that I need work on. I need to call out to him and he will answer my prayer. Wow what a God we serve. While we wait on him to answer our prayers we are called to worship him.

This weekend was a way of God saying that I needed to get back to the basics with him. I am renewing my life and this time I am turning some things around. Gods worthy and I don't need to be doing those things, without the God of the universe on my side I'm hopeless. He reigns forever and ever and I will be co heirs with him. It is my prayer that you will also grow closer with the lord as you progress through life.

What a glorious day to be alive

Today has been great so far. Woke up about 11 this morning. Went to the caf this morning and saw Bootz Durango in the chicken line as always. I am trying out the UNCG libraries new set of Ipads. I can see that they are a great thing and will be a Great asset in the near future. Fall retreat is this weekend. As i am writing this we wIll be leaving in one hour. I don't know what to expect out of this but I know that god has a plan for me this weekend. In fact I was not even planning to go on this trip. I just put my name in the raffle and won it. That's Gods way of saying that he has a plan for me or for me to get something out of this weekend.I know that HPU and Wake Forest are going to be there. Greensboro College is sending people as well. I'm sure that they will join up with us because they are right behind us on west market. guilford tech is even sending some people as well. I went to bible study this week and we talked about the holy spirit in our lives. Even as I write this I know that he is with me.I know that Jesus can't be here physically so he sent us the holy spirit to guide us through our lives. He is here right now as I Write this. I have accepted his free gift of salvation. I did that December,27th 1997. That day Christ acme into my life and it will never be the same. There were some things that I got into in middle school that I wish that I didn't have to do. I still struggle with those demons but I know the love of my heavenly father will take it away. We serve a risen savior. My prayer this weeks for the lord to show me the things in my life that are not of him. This weekend I am going to do business with god. It's time for me to start living for him. Crusade is a place where I am surrounded with great people that love the lord. I know we are not perfect and that's are human nature. It a makes me feel good to know that we are in the same boat.it's humbling to know that despite our differences that we can all come to the throne of grace and ask for forgiveness. To know that a God loved me so much that he gave me his one and only son to die for me. He took the pain that I deserved, and everyday I spit or we spit in his face. That's not how life needs to be and I wish it wasn't. Well homework calls and also fall retreat calls so I'm off.

My Savior can move mountains :)

" But the one who is forgiven little, loves little." - Jesus when talking to Simon after the woman cleanses his feet.

That was tonights message. It was about the dinner party that Jesus attended and the woman that came and cleansed his feet with her tears and a oil from a jar. See it was custom to do so and Simon the one that invited Jesus in the first place didnt cleanse his feet. Simon was shocked to see the woman there and was telling who are you to hang out with sinners. The woman i n this story has the faith. To get up in front of those religious leaders and do what she did took faith.

Jesus said in the scriptures the quote stated above. That really spoke to me tonight. He told a parable about two people who could not pay a debt. One had 50 Denarii and the other had 100 Denarii, and asked Simon who he beilieved was more forgiven. He said the one with 100 Denarii and Jesus told him that he was right. I used the above quote in a different context: The one who loves more forgives more. I see this : Jesus loved us as human beings more than we can imagine so therefore He is willing to forgive us more and more everytime we fall short. I dont know if anyone else got that out of the message but I did and it is something that I need to look at. Who am I living for right now. i focus on other things.

I am going on a retreat with campus crusade this weekend. We are going to Sophia, NC. I think we are going to be the biggest group there but all that doesnt matter. We all love Jesus. Be praying for us as we travel and while we are there. i believe that God has a plan for me by going. I recived a scholarship so I believe that God is going to do a work in me. Pray for the group that we grow closer together and to the Lord.

I love you God!

" I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made. Yours works are great I know that". Psalms 139:14
I love that verse because it tells of a wonderful and powerful Savior that created mankind. He knew all the sins that we would committ and He still knows whats going to happen later in life. He knows us inside out, He's are maker of course He knows us. This verse lets me know that I was made carefully and made to glorify Him. I pray that I do that.

Update on my life

Well I really have not had a good couple of days because I cant log onto my laptop. I called today and they told me it was my harddrive. :( That means I loose everything again. Ahhh its frustrating. 3 weeks into school and it already messes up ugh!. Anyway the good side of it is that I am still under waranty and they will send me a new hard drive for FREE. YAY! it will be here Friday. :)

Campus Cru was awesome last night. I can say that I've found a place to go during the weeks and it makes me feel good. The people there are so nice and I feel at home. I wish the meetings were a little bit longer but in that hour and a half Gods shows up in ways that we cannot imagine. i love to worship and the band is awesome. I just wish that there would be more songs that the band plays. The pastor spoke on the Whole Bible and I mean all of it. One of the things I needed to hear was that everything in its time will end up going back to God no matter what it is. He went over other speacial talents that we do and it hit me last night that God is the one who gave me those gifts and talents. I even met some new people last night and it was awesome.

Fact: I have off. fallen in love with Tate Street Coffee. :) Me and a couple of friends( you know) went after Cru last night and we got to talking. I thought it was a humbling thought that they opened up to me so much and I really didnt know them as much. I mean I had met one on Facebook and all but it was cool that they opened up to me, normally most people would not do that. Last night was one of the first nights that I have opened up to people.

Next time you see me My laptop will be better :)

Change-(noun)a transformation or modification; alteration.

I love that definition. When I think about change, I picture it as something different. Like the election of the first African American President ( I dont believe in some of the things he stands for) but it is still awesome. Change is going away from the normal ways of doing things and doing things different. I chose the title "Make a Change" because we can change the world and I hope to that one day.
